For over 50 years, Pastor Boyd Young has faithfully preached the gospel and now serves as head pastor of LifeChurch Adams. Throughout his ministry, he’s helped plant and lead many churches, building a strong and vibrant Christian community. Married 54 years to his wife Glenda Young, Pastor Boyd Young is a proud father of three children who all serve in ministry—a reflection of his lifelong dedication to faith and family. Passionate about missions, he has traveled worldwide sharing the gospel and serving communities in need. His vision for LifeChurch Adams is to be both a spiritual home and a beacon of outreach, impacting lives locally and around the world with the message of Jesus Christ and the joy, love, and hope he shares for all!

Jeff Swayne

Executive Pastor

Pastor Jeff Swayne, our Executive Pastor, is a Christ-centered leader with a heart for people and a passion for ministry. He is married to his lovely wife Amy Swayne who serves on our worship team, and together they are the proud parents of two children. Jeff has faithfully served in the church for many years, dedicating his life to spreading the love of Christ. His mission is simple yet powerful: to share God’s love and offer help to everyone, no matter who they are, what they look like, where they come from, or what their story may be. His life and ministry reflect an unwavering commitment to meeting people where they are through the love of Christ and pointing them to the hope and eternal life and joy in Him.

Todd Stevens

Praise and Worship Leader

Todd is 49 and has been part of Life Church Adams since October 2023. He lives in Hillsboro with his wife Gwen and their dog Harper. Todd and Gwen have two grown sons, Austin and Tyler. He enjoys going to auctions, golfing, collecting antiques and spending time with his family. Todd works as a State Trooper for the State of Ohio and brings that same dedication and steady heart into leading worship. He loves serving God and helping create an atmosphere where people can truly encounter His presence. Todd is grateful to be part of Life Church Adams and loves worshiping and growing with his church family.

Glenda Young

Pastor's Wife

Glenda Young is the devoted wife of Pastor Boyd Young, and together they have shared over 50 wonderful years of marriage. She is a loving mother to three incredible children, all of whom are actively involved in ministry. Glenda is a Christ-filled woman who always puts God first and lives each day with a heart to serve. With a deep love for people and a passion for the Kingdom, her greatest desire is to reflect God’s love and help lead more souls to Christ and his love!

Alisha Porter

Production Manager

Alisha Porter, raised in Adams County, has a lifelong passion for singing, having performed with her family and served in her church from a young age. As a mother of two wonderful children, she cherishes the time she spends with them. With a degree in special education, Alisha has devoted the past 20 years to working in the local school district. Her love for worship and her deep faith are central to her life, as she finds joy in singing and praising her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
